I started with my 10 gallon being not planted at all just fake plants. I have since fallen in love with planted tanks and the beautiful aquascapes that can be made. I have started planting plants but my tank is not in any way the beautiful way that most planted tanks are I’m wanting to redo all decoration and substrate I’m buying sand, driftwood and slate rock. How would I go about planting in grass in a tank that is already full of water and has 2 bettas living in it? If you have a favorite place to buy living plants please let me know where it is.

Grass? I assume some form of Hairgrass? (eleocharis acicularis)
In my experience this requires a lot of direct bright light (which is not good for the Betta)and either heavy fertilisers or CO2 injection

Yes the Betta will appreciate the cover of the floating plants.
The others will provide more of a natural environment so you should see more natural predatory behaviours
