Betta Poop has always been white- Is something wrong?

I got my betta Cicero about 5 months ago. He has been in his cycled 12gal fluval edge tank for about 3 months. As long as I have had him, his poops have been white and he has had some bloating problems. If his bloating gets too big, I fast him for a day and it clears up. He has always been happy and energetic as long as I have had him, even when bloating. I have tried a couple foods and it hasn't made a difference- Currently eating 7 shrimp patty pellets a day and daphnia flakes.

Tank parameters are all ok- Ammonia/Nitrites at 0, Nitrates between 5-10ppm, Ph at 7.2. Decorations are mostly live plants- also driftwood, and Zoo Med cave, floating log, and hammock. I change 25% water weekly, using API stress coat. I have been adding AQ salt for the past couple months.
