omg i thought berlioz was a little weirdo for sleeping under his favorite purple plant. He wraps himself around the base and stuffs his nose right in the middle of it.

 

My Mercury likes to scare me to death. He likes to sleep by wedging himself between things. He likes to be under the moss ball while also being against the wall of the tank. It's like a little makeshift cave for him, I guess. It doesn't help that he sleeps like a rock so I always have to check on him.

 

Glad to know Chili's not alone, haha.

He too likes to wedge himself between the rocks and the driftwood, or the rocks and the aquarium wall.

 

My Betta, Robin has a couple of favourite places where he likes to sleep:

1. Behind the filter tube near the top of the tank in the right hand back corner
2. In the back left hand corner on the gravel underneath lots of leaves
3. With his body resting on the Lilaeopsis grass plant and his nose poking in to it

 

Diablo tends to rest where there's a dip in the sand, other times he will sleep behind the filter or wedged between the heater and acrylic.

 

Hmmm.....I actually have never caught my betta sleeping....
everytime I look she is cruising....
I might have to wake up in the middle of the night and check....

 

TyeDye sleeps on his leaf hammock, but not on the leaf part, he balances himself on the little edge of the suction cup and sleeps there.
Mushu sleeps on the bottom next to his sponge filter.
The two boys have complete opposite personalities lol, one sleeps on top the other sleeps on bottom.

 

I have no idea, I cover his tank at night. In the morning when the cover comes off he's usually at the bottom next to a plant.

 

Darla teeters on the top of the thermometer, Marshawn twisted a hole in the middle of floating plants and made a bedroom.

 

I hate this new way Symphon sleeps. He wedges himself at one corner of the tank with the bamboo looking plant stems (forgot the name). He sways back and forth like a dead leaf and always scares me... -_-"

 

Blitz lately has been kind of wedging himself between two leaves so he doesn't float around a whole lot/feels more secure while he's sleeping. Before though he just propped himself up on a leaf and would kind of drift sideways while he slept, it scared me at first to see him like that!

 

Under plants, tangled up in floating roots, on top of the filter, on a boat, resting on the sand, in floating caves. yeah, they sleep in weird places that make one convinced they are dead.
