I've had Ruby about 8 months. I have recently noticed her gill plate has iridescence on it. I also just got a new boy who has the same issue. I didn't notice this too much with Ruby until today when I noticed it had gotten darker/there was more of it. I might be slightly paranoid due to having a new fish and being worried about the possibility of spreading disease. Is gill iridescence normal?
