Hello again! New baby betta alert!
My boyfriend and I were walking through the pet store and this little guy caught my eye. He was $2 but I can already tell he will be worth so much more to me because of his cute little personality! He’s less than an inch long and has beautiful coloring in the sunlight! We’ve named him Chip because I said buying a baby betta is like roulette- so my boyfriend suggested poker chip and it was shortened from there!
He will be going in my separated 10 gallon once he’s a little bigger. Not only am I missing Petrie, but I think Dumbo knows his tank mate is gone. The boys genuinely didn’t seem to mind eachother. They would blow bubble nests in the same corner and stare at eachother when they were laying in their betta beds.
Anyways… now we can have fun guessing what he will grow into. I look forward to posting frequent updates and to having a betta for a long time compared to the short 8 months I had my dinosaur Petrie. Side note: I’m thinking Petrie was a king betta because he was the size of all the kings I saw at the pet store today. Thoughts? He was 3 inches when he passed.
