Sorry you are having problems...a few questions so we can help....

How big is the tank, how much and how often are the water changes and when was the last one, water temp, filtration, live plants, additives used, how long have you had him and how long has he been sick, any treatments or medications tried-if so, what, how much, how long, appetite, food and feeding any other symptoms....can you post a clear pic...

More information the better....

Welcome to the forum by the way.....

Hey BettaFishRule! Welcome :)

I also have a 2gal setup, and it's definitely very important to get a heater. I got a very good adjustable one (which is very important, because Bettas should be at least at 78* but some like it warmer) from PetSmart for just $12. It just sticks to the back of the tank and no problems :)

You should also get a thermometer so you can tell what temperature your tank is at. Chances are, that once you heat up the water and give Aragon some time to adjust, he'll be doing just fine!

Also, Bettas like pellet food much more than flakes, so you might want to get ahold of some of that. From what I've heard, many Bettas (including my own) LOVE something to hide/play in--just make sure that any openings are at least the size of your thumb.

It may take him a little bit of time to adjust, so don't worry just yet :)

Is he still lying on the bottom?
If so it's probably ammonia buildup problems.
In a two gallon tank you should be doing a daily 100% water change until he is active and healthy looking.
Fish release a toxin called ammonia which is harmful for them. Weird I know, but true. It can burn them and hurt their immune system.

Here is a tutorial a senior member on the forum has created to help new members learn how to properly do a water change:

It is very helpful, and a very good way to keep your fish healthy.
One thing I should add though is that you should wash your hands thirty minutes before changing their water to make sure any excess soap on your hands doesn't get in his new water. The soap can be bad for them. And make sure everything is very well rinsed.

When he's healthy and active again you should do the 100% water change every other day.

((Sorry if you know this already. Don't mean to chew your ear off with what you already know lol. If you've been keeping this up my apologies!))

It's very easy to do, and it's very quick as well.
Also be sure to pick up that heater. The cold temperature is very bad for him.

I hope Aragon does well.
If you have any questions be sure to post here and PM anyone you think can help.

Wash your hands normally (1 or 2 minutes). But do it Thirty Minutes Before You Handle Anything.
Not for thirty minutes.

:) Thank you!
It's so that absolutely no soap gets in your fish's new water.
(Je sius une femme, aussi.)

if the bubbles are on the side of the tank, in the water, that's normal for new water. if you plop water in the tank, add the dechlorinator, and plop the fish in there, the bubbles will appear naturally. it's nitrogen, if i'm not mistaking, appearing as bubbles.

it's wonderful that you got him a big tank, but water changes in a two gallon should be done every three days. that way, all the nasties your fish lets out(poops, ammonia, extra foods he didn't eat), won't poison him.

also, flakes aren't the best food for bettas. it swells up in their tummies and can cause bloat. if you can, get him some pellets when you get the heater. :3 they're much better for bettas to eat, since they usually don't swell as much.

i hope your betta feels better soon!
