Please recommend a bubble wand and air pump?

I read on a post here that installing a bubble wand might help with cyanobacteria, so I'm going to try it. A few questions:

  1. How long should the bubble wand be for a 5.5 gallon tank in order for it to give sufficient oxygenation? I don't want it to be longer than necessary, because a new wall of bubbles would probably be stressful for my betta.
  2. Is there a particular brand of bubble wand you'd recommend? I want something that makes lots of fine bubbles along its entire length, and that will continue to do so.
  3. Can you recommend a good quality, quiet air pump that is the right size for this purpose?
Thanks!

Why not just get a sponge filter instead? not a quiet air pump but if you put it on a towel then it makes little noise is the Top fin 5 gallon air pump (make sure you have a check valve if you do this)

Thanks for the reminder about sponge filters. I have an HOB that seems to be working okay. But I've been curious to try a sponge filter, and it wouldn't cost much more than a bubble wand setup. I'll try it.
