I'm looking to add to my tank.

I have a male betta, and a nertile zebra snail. Tomorrow I plan to get one more zebra snail and possibly an additional tank mate!

I have my betta in a tank at 80 degrees, a live plant, gravel and a hammock. He seems very happy but I want to add a little bit more.

I'm between a pair of ADF or one pleco. I want to avoid a common pleco and get the smallest pleco possible so some suggestions would be great.

Does anyone have experiences with either if these guys with their bettas? If so input would be great! Thank you :-D

Too small for any Pleco species with their huge bioload.

ADF should have at least three to assure long term health. A five is too small for that if you have two Nerite. I know people have fewer than three but ADF are extremely social and need others to feel secure.

Two Nerite is all I would put in a five gallon as they have a pretty high bioload, too.

Oh thanks for that! I'd prefer something without a huge bioload. I had a mystery snail and honestly he didn't seem to clean anything! My nertile seems to stick to one wall of the tank. He moves around but he's very very slow. Do they like the company of other snails?
