Hi everyone!
I’m thinking of setting up a business in my local town, where I would be paid to create betta aquascapes in people’s houses, and possibly to do maintenance afterwards.
I was wondering what people thought. Do you think it is a good idea?
I have some experience, I’ve scaped my 23 gallon, and my 4 gallon tanks a few times, and multiple jars. I will also be getting two more tanks soon.
I’m living at home, so it would be more casual work to fund my aquarium hobby, rather than an income I’d be dependent on.
Thanks for your help!:)

Sounds fun if there is a market for it. I would maybe ask your local fish store if you could put up some kind of card or announcement in the store to advertise. They might also be able to give you an idea of how many bettas that they sell to see if there is a market for your idea. It's worth a try!!! :)

Hi Rose of sharon, thanks for your reply!
The weird thing is, even though it is a big town, there don’t seem to any pet shops that sell fish. I was thinking that I could offer to set up tanks for free in the most popular restaurants, along with the price/details as an advert. It is a costal town, but almost no one has aquariums. I will ask around on facebook groups, and see if anyone is interested.
It’s really nice to get positive feedback, especially since this is the first time that I’ve suggested it to anyone.
Thanks again!:)

Yes, it sounds like a great idea! With your experience, offering custom betta aquascapes and maintenance could attract hobbyists, and starting casually while living at home is a smart way to test the market.
