Has anyone with one of the floating betta logs made by Zoo Med experienced any damage to their bettas or his fins? My boy's fins have been getting very tattered and I'm wondering if it's from the log. I didn't think it was sharp or rough enough to cause damage but now I'm having doubts =\

I have one. My boy uses it often and I've not observed any fin damage from it personally.
However, when I first bought it, I did take a nail file to a couple spots around the holes that I thought felt a little too sharp. You may want to do the same to yours if you think it may be causing damage.

Personally I think they are rubbish, If you want to make your betta happy get live floating plants.

Two of my boys have floating betta logs...and they love them! No fin tearing from them that I see!!
Forgot to add: They are great in a community tank at feeding time. I fed my boys through the little hole in the top. When I opened the lid they would head straight for their log which allowed me to feed the ADF and other fish in different parts of the tank.
